Luxe Pilot
I recently went on a cruise and definitely spent way more time than needed planning it. I wanted to create an all-encompassing app for travelers to plan and book their trips, in order to save time and effort while maximizing their trips.
Luxe Pilot uses AI to assist travelers with all their travel needs, reducing time spent on researching, booking, and keeping track of everything in one place.

I organized a competitive analysis to identify other ways users are planning travel.
Keeping track of which app you used for your flight, hotel, or dinner reservation can be overwhelming. This hassle might even make you reconsider taking the trip.

I had the opportunity to interview 5 seasoned travelers to gain insight into their travel planning experiences. I sought to understand their challenges, frustrations, and sought after their best advice for traveling.
These conversations helped highlight the highs and lows of travel planning and provided valuable insights for anyone looking to embark on a new journey.

Upon identifying the essential features, I meticulously crafted user and task flows to ensure a seamless and intuitive experience for all app users

I crafted the Luxe Pilot logo with a bell to symbolize a desire for top-notch service, reminiscent of the prompt service at a fine hotel. I aimed to create an experience where users feel that their needs are effortlessly met, leaving them feeling pampered and catered to.
I chose royal blue to symbolize authority and professionalism. It conveys stability, reliability, and sophistication.
For my ascent colors I chose gray and yellow to bring joy, happiness, intellect and wisdom

Based on valuable user feedback, I designed the search functionality for each search bar. Users expressed a strong desire for a detailed, step-by-step process for completing

Our users have spoken, and they want a homepage that offers them the opportunity to explore.
That's why I crafted a homepage that allows users to easily check out places they've shown interest in or booked, access their wish list, and find a guide to the chat feature.
“What if I do not have any events planned?”
I decided to add a page that suggests activities in the area you're visiting. This way, users have options if they want to explore.

You can easily access chat from the bottom navigation bar.
I updated the top and bottom navigation to a lighter color, checked for color usability, adjusted the color of the search boxes, and fixed spacing and alignment.
Usability Testing
Is my app usable?
I tested my designs impact through usability testing on users who have traveled using 3 task flows.

Findings
Users where able to complete all tasks at 100%. However they need need some assist with navigating the app.
I received feedback on UI elements, search bar location, input bars, and overall feel of the app.
If I had additional time, I would…
Build out more task flows within the app
Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I could only develop a few key task flows. I am eager to offer users a comprehensive booking experience with detailed pricing selection and expanded information.
Explore more ways to use the AI feature through out the app
I strongly believe that incorporating the AI feature more prominently within the app would significantly enhance the user experience. Offering an interactive tool for booking that harnesses the power of AI to enable users to customize their trips further would be a game-changer.
Reflection
I've come to realize that every user has unique travel planning preferences and priorities. Through my efforts, I have successfully integrated essential features into the app to cater to these diverse needs. Given more time, I would have conducted additional interviews and research to ensure a more comprehensive and inclusive app for all users.
